Expanding cooperation with Makerere University (Uganda)

Negotiations took place between WAN President Sergey Bodrunov and a delegation from Makerere University (Uganda) led by the university's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Barnabas Nawangwe.

The issues of organizing the East African Congress on Noonomics and creating a Center of Noonomy at Makerere University were discussed.

The tasks of the Center of Noonomy will include:

  • conducting scientific research on noonomy, including studies of mechanisms for overcoming social problems in African countries and developing cooperation in scientific, technical, and economic fields;
  • development and implementation of educational programs for studying the theory of noonomy at Makerere University;
  • training of teaching staff.

Agreements have been reached on holding the East African Congress on Noonomics in February-March 2027, and on forming the Congress's organizing committee. The mechanisms for carrying out the Congress's tasks were determined, and decisions on the technical, financial, and organizational support of the Congress's work were formulated.

The negotiations also included WAN's Director of Organizational Work, M. Ratnikova, and WAN's Director of International Congress Activities, E. Kabakhidze.
