Abstract
The reader is presented with the collection of articles "Interrogating the Future" devoted to the scholar and editor David Fasenfest. First published in 2024 by Brill (Netherlands), this volume brings together contributions from leading scholars in critical sociology, Marxism, and political economy.The book demonstrates Fasenfest's long-standing contributions as editor of the "Critical Sociology" journal and book series that played a key role in the development of radical social thought. The authors explore pressing contemporary issues: from the critique of neoliberal capitalism and problems of social inequality to issues of urbanism and the decolonization of knowledge. Particular attention is paid to the Marxist analysis of global processes and the search for alternative models of social development. The collection consists of three parts: the first is devoted to Fasenfest’s academic achievements, the second contains theoretical research, and the third addresses the future of critical theory.The publication represents a value for experts in the field of social sciences and for all who are interested in critical understanding of modern socio-economic processes.
