Anthology of Noonomy: Fourth Technological Revolution and Its Economic, Social and Humanitarian Consequences
Abstract
The book prepared by the international team of authors representing leading universities in Russia, the USA, Canada, China, Europe and Latin America reveals various aspects of the theory of noonomy developed by Professor S.D. Bodrunov and the S.Y. Witte Institute for New Industrial Development (INID). The key provisions of this theory are assessed (transition to knowledge-intensive production, gradual socialization of society, diffusion of property, progress of solidarity relations, removal of simulative needs and progress of a human of culture), and the thesis about noonomy as the post-economic future of society is discussed. Extensive attention is given to the global context of the technological and socioeconomic transformations currently underway, including political, economic, and sociophilosophical understanding of the tenets of the theory of noonomy. It is demonstrated that the design of strategies for technological and socioeconomic development must be consistent with the historical challenges facing mankind, and that the possibility of avoiding the planetary global catastrophes that humanity faces requires progress in an area where key reference points are defined by the theory of noonomy.
